Sally Nightmare Before Christmas Face

 The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my favorite movies, and the eerie characters make excellent Halloween costumes. I’ll show you how to do a simple Sally Nightmare Before Christmas Face in this tutorial. I also did Jack’s makeup in my last tutorial: How to Do Perfect Jack Skellington Face Makeup for Halloween.

If you don’t have a lot of experience doing your own Halloween makeup, don’t worry. This look is super easy to achieve at home, so you don’t have to be a makeup artist to do it.

Tools and materials:

• Blue face paint
• White powder
• Dark blue and medium blue eyeshadows
• Blue and white eyeliner
• Black liquid eyeliner
• Lipstick
• Wig cap
• Pink wig

Paint the face blue for Sally’s makeup

Paint your face blue

Start by dipping your finger in your blue makeup and rubbing the paint around your face until it is coated in blue. You also want to work the blue paint all the way down your neck and on any other parts of your skin that will be exposed.

Mix blue and white to create the look

Brush with white powder

Dip a brush in some white powder and apply it all over your face. Mix it with the blue face paint.

3. Apply eye shadow
   Next, you are going to apply some eye shadow – dark blue for the outer lids and lighter blue on the inside. You also want to bring down the dark blue color under your eyes.

Continue by applying blue eyeliner on your lower lash line and white eyeliner on your waterline.

4. Apply liquid eyeliner
   Apply liquid eyeliner to the outer two-thirds of your eyelid and fan it out at the end. Continue to draw on thick false lashes above and below your eye.

5. Add lipstick
   Then apply dark red colored lipstick.

6. Make a mouth.
   Take a liquid eyeliner and draw two lines on either side of your lips, working your way up your cheeks, to obtain Sally’s signature mouth.

Draw little lines along the mouth to give it a scarred appearance. Some of these lines are skewed, while others cross.

Draw the scar line
Sally also has another scar line that runs from her brow to one eye diagonally. Continue to draw on it.

8. Apply more blue face paint to Jack and Sally’s faces.
   More blue makeup should be applied to your cheeks and other exposed areas of your face.

9. Draw more scar lines
   Continue to trace the scar lines on the neck and chest. These don’t need to be super groomed; I intentionally drew mine a bit rough.

Apply mascara

10. Apply mascara
    Finish the makeup by applying a little mascara.

11. Put on a wig
    The last step is to tie your hair up, put on a wig cap, and then put on a red-orange hair wig from Sally.
